Malaysian Latest FIDE Rankings

The latest FIDE Rating List is out and there is no major change at the top. Nicholas Chan still maintains the number one position over IM Mas at the top of the list. While Nicholas did not play any rated events recently, Mas has two events ,the 2nd Asean Chess Championship and Brunei Campomanes Open, where he lost points. Still, IM Mas is in second place as before but the gap is closing with third place IM Mok Tze Meng who did not play any rated events recently.

The 3rd-8th placing remain unchanged. Our talented youngster, Yeoh Li Tian maintains his seventh placing from the previous list, though he has gained 37 points.The recent Melaka International Open has not been included so he will continue to make progress to the magical 2300 in the next list.

There are new comers into the top ten, Gregory Lau and Loo Swee Leong due to inactivity of Edward Lee and Chia Soon Keat. These two latter players have been moved to the inactive list.
