FM Hamdani - Yeoh Li Tian, Round 9

Below is the finish of round nine game between Li Tian and Indonesia's Hamdani

White is quite lost so he tries some  tactical tricks

34. Rxd5 exd5 35. Nd6 

After 35.Nd6

White threatens the rook as well as forking the queen with Nf5. After 35...Kf8 36. Nxf8 Now 36...Kxe8 37. Qc8+ Ke7 38. Qc7+  is perpetual. If black tries 36...d2 there follows
 37. Nf6 Qc4 38. Nxh7+ Kg7 39. Qh4 d1=Q 40. Qf6+ Kxh7 (Black can even lose with 40... Kg8 41. Ng5 Qc7 42. e6 fxe6 43.Nxe6

After 43. Nxe6


Even with the extra queen black cannot ward off the white attack. 43...Qf7 (43...Qd7?? 44. Qf8+ Kh7 45. Ng5 mate) 44. Qd8+ Kh7 45. Ng5+ Kg7 46. Nxf7 Kxf7 47. Qd7+ Kg8 48. Qc8+ Kg7 49. Qb7+ Kh6 50. Qxa6 and black is losing the ending because of his king exposed.


But Li Tian is always sharp with the tactics and has a surprise of his own.

After 35..Rxe5
The point is after 36. fxe5 Qxg4 37. hxg4 d2 the pawn is unstoppable.

36. Qg3 Rh5 37. f5 d2 38. Ne8+ Kg8 39. Qb8 Rxh3+ 40. Kxh3 Qe3+ 41. g3 d1=Q 42. Nd6+ Kg7 43. f6+ Kh6 44. Nf5+ Kg5  0-1

The last trick is 44... gxf5 45. Qf8+ Kg5 46. Qg7+ Kh5 47. Qxf7+ Kg5 48. Qg7+ Kh5 49. Qxh7+ Qh6 50. Qxf5+ Qg5 51. Qh7+ draws

So... how do I remove the virus attacking the DATCC blog site? There are a few contributors (I am one of them) but tech wise, Andrew is perhaps the better person to do it :)

Likely it is marked by Google as malware site. Coz you linked Andrew's site which had malware. Either remove all Andrew's site or re-submit to Google to re-index. Andrew should be able to advice.
