Karpov gets nomination for FIDE President

Previously I wrote that Karpov is vying for the FIDE Presidency here.

Latest news is that the German Chess Federation is nominating former world champion, Anatoly Karpov, for the FIDE Presidency. Karpov had already got the nominations from the Swiss and French federations.

The latest news is that the USCF Executive Board unanimously voted that the USCF will support Anatoly Karpov in the upcoming FIDE election for President, to be held in October 2010.

Current president, Ilyumzhinov does not seem to have obtained any nominations yet. But it is still early days as they say.
