The fourth round of the DATCC Chess League will be held this Wednesday, 21st April 2010. A little bird told me that GM Ziaur Rahman will not be available for his team Think Big.
It seems that Ziaur will be competing in the Asian Continental in Subic, Philippines. If this is true then Think Big will have to Think Smart. For unknown reasons, IM Mok Tze Meng did not play the last two rounds and the team definitely need him to hold the first board in the grandmasters absence.
Otherwise their close rival, Kam Mah - "Golden Horse" in Chinese - will be "galloping" all over the Think Big team. Incidentally the team name comes from one of Dato' Tan Chin Nam racing horse,Think Big, which twice won the Melbourne Cup in the late 1970s. Dato' Tan used to keep a picture of Think Big his old office in the Bangkok Bank building in downtown KL.
