World Youth Round 8

Another two rounds have been played since my last post. How have our youngsters been faring?

Goh Jie Yi playing in the U-8 Girls suffered back to back losses in rounds seven and eight to remain at five points. The highest scorer is now Lye Lik Zang in the Open U-8 with six points. His ninth round opponent is Zhang Zhuoran from China.

And in round seven he might have won if he played 35...f6 instead of 35....e5

The good news is that most of our players managed to score at least 50% as the overview below shows. Three more rounds remains to be played. The event ends on Sunday.
