Grischuk wins World Blitz

Alexander Grischuk is the deserving winner of the 2012 World Blitz. Second is Carlsen who overcame a bad start to over-take Sergey Karjakin.

GM Dmitry Andreikin  was amongst the top three in the second half but had a reversal of fortune to drop to fifth.

Interesting facts 
- Carlsen won against Radjabov with 1.a4 on move one!
- Carlsen is extremely fast player. In the game against Karjakin he still had over two minutes at the end.
- Mamedyarov overlooked a mate in two against Grischuk.
- Total prize fund is USD400,000!
- The first prize in both blitz and rapid is worth USD40,000!
