Filipino IM Rolando Nolte beat Yeoh Li Tian in the last round of the 2013 Penang Heritage Open to take his total points to 7.5 and take the championship. His other rivals Roel Abelgas and IM Andrey Kvon drew with each other to share 2-4th placing with FM Riste Menkinoski with 7 points
The best Malaysians are Yeoh Li Tian, Marcus Chan and Fong Yit San. They each scored 6.5 points. Marcus drew with the sole grandmaster in the tournament, GM Alexander Fominyh while Yit San did well to drew with FM Mariano Nelson III.
