27th SEA Games - International blitz

At the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar, the blitz for international chess for men and women has started. After five rounds, our girls Nabila and Rifqah are doing well with five and four points respectively just behind WGM Irene Iskandar who has 4.5 points. Our players shows that they have what it takes. However there is still a long way to go as this is an all-play-all event.

In the men's or open section, our representatives are Ronnie Lim and Ng Tze Han with 3 points and two points respectively. Ronnie managed to defeat GM Mark Paragua in the third round. However it is very difficult to win any medals here as there are strong favourites such as Philippines GMs Rogelio Antonio and Mark Paragua, Vietnamese GM Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, Singapore's IM Goh Wei Ming and Indonesian GM Susanto Megaranto
