A Scorpion's Tail
The story of the frog and the scorpion is well known to English readers. It is one of Aesop's fables and the tale is a cautionary one; man cannot change his innate nature.
I do not often point readers to that poison blog but read this and then come back here and tell me what you think. What is the nature of this man; the writer of that blog?

I have met Chin Seng face to face before and he seems like a nice man. I have met Raymond Siew before face to face and he also seems nice.
Online though the story changes perversely. Chin Seng still remains nice but this Raymond Siew seems like a man who is vindictive. What have you guys done to him to make him so possessed in this personal jihad he has undertaken?
The story of his personal jihad is my source of entertainment daily. I can only imagine he is doing all this so that his son would get a fair shot at representing the country. Unless he himself is training secretly to be the first gm!!!
At the moment, his son has no chance of representing the country for one and only one reason, he is so weak. Of course this may change and he may become stronger. But i doubt it, given the nonsense his father probably feeds him everyday. FGM, give your son a break! Humility is when you realise and acknowledge that there is NOTHING you can teach your son to become a better chess player (pure chess-wise or psychology-wise). Maybe you should get IM Mok to teach him? :-)
I can assure you, IM Mok will never take his son for a student.
Even if he would (and who would?), "Mighty" Mok cannot help Mark and I will end here in order to remain polite as to the chess reasons why.
So Mr "Fix It" has no choice but to use other means, starting by exploiting the kindness of my young ASTRO Rapid Team Championship winning team mates LZR and SS, and when shown conclusively to be the liar that he is, tries to destroy the confidence and reputation of an even younger talent YLT that in his warped logic must be stopped as he might actually become our first GM.
This blog has exposed him without question as to what he really is: a sad, vindictive, pathological and compulsive liar.
But Mark is his excuse only in our generosity because it is all about him and him alone.
I agree with you, especially that last sentence.
I don't agree. Who tried to claim a win at NJ2010? Why are all of you trying to overlook a very blatant act of cheating? Can Jimmy or Peter please comment. Have you considered that if Mark was penalised, another player would have been second at NJ2010 and all the claims that Raymond Siew has brought up would not have happened.
Unfortunately, you are very much mistaken. It is not for us to overlook cheating or to penalise. This is the job of MCF. Even the MCF Secretary was aware of this scandal yet take no action. Since MCF does not want to take any action, what can anyone do?
Fully agree with you the responsibility was with the tournament director/MCF but you did say Mark is a good kid. When good kids do bad things, they too are responsible. I actually pity those who were affected by the cheating case, and yet no one stood up for them.
We are born innocent and good. It is the world and the people around us that corrupts us. Its not too late for Mark, he can still avoid growing up into a different man from the people around him. It is a matter of personal choice.
Theoretically no one was affected by the cheating case (in terms of their final standings) as the score was correctly registered as lost for Mark. Psychologically it is another matter.
Jimmy, not if Mark was expelled from tournament. I have nothing against Mark except for knowledge of what he did. Don't even care if Raymond is his father.
I said theoretically. But if Mark was expelled, than its different of course. Trust me, MCF will not do anything, we can all cheat as much as we want.
Raymond Siew is RIGHT. MCF is powerless agaianst chess cheating.
In his mind he is always right. even if it is wrong he will make it right ( in his mind , he thinks we are stupid ).
if he is wrong, he will rewrite it a thousand times hoping that people forgot the truth from the false.
The Sumant and LZR story, you can restate the truth a thousand times but all will still remember what happened.
I just read that the Asian Junior Championships is from 29 March to 7 April in Sharjah, UAE.
This is the last year that Mark Siew can play so let us all beg MCF to allow him to represent Malaysia as he will never get another chance.
Why? Because he has for years made the National Junior Championship - the qualifying event for this tournament - his own (without winning of course despite his father's best efforts).
Please Eddy. Please Greg. Please, please, please.
Yes, please.
I want to see the "FGM experience" in action.
What basis can raymond son represent Malaysia, did he win any rated tournament recently? No way mcf allow backdoor as he will stab back at mcf as corrupt. eg his son cheating in the nag tournament and no penalty against him
Win? He has won a tournament before? Of course, silly me, must have at FGM Academy where he is the only student. Not rated of course.
No back door exists or is needed... all the players who finish higher than him just need to decline to play.
Maybe PICA will apply to MCF as I think only his father is banned but I forgot father is manager and son cannot talk directly.

hi, who was the arbiter in that tmt ? Did he carried out his duties ? When a worker in a company did something wrong, do u burn down the company ? Eddy
If you want to succeed, important is to know how to cheat more than others, not how to play better. Everybody knows this after say three years eperience. Sad, but true. Only new pure blood can change this.
So have you cheated before and how?
