This event although is called Malaysia Open is extremely unfriendly towards Malaysian players. To pay RM 750 for a tournament is extremely expensive and even with the discount is RM 600. Maybe I am misinterpreting the organizers intentions and their target crowd is not the average malaysian. But then what is the purpose of this tournament? Evidently it is not in support of giving the Malaysian players an opportunity to play against strong foreign players. There is no discounts for Malaysian and the organizer has no defense to say that if its too expensive for Malaysian they can play in challenger, as those that has crossed 2k previously cant join challenger. So what is the purpose of this tournament? Maybe the target market is a social event and get together for the older generation which have money to burn. Well in this case its a social event then its fine by me :D
